How did the first edition of Label go?
We're really happy with the way the first Label went. Over 3100 visitors attended the event, with many entering directly from the Pure London halls cementing our belief that co-locating the two events would benefit both buyers and brands.
The Label Launch Party
Label joined forces with SuperSuper to celebrate the launch of Label and the young fashion industry. Drinks flowed at Sway Bar in Covent Garden and a great night was had by all.

What did Label exhibitors think to the show?
"The first day was incredible. We were writing orders non-stop until 7pm. There was a great atmosphere and buzz around the show, it has been totally amazing for us."
Byron Bezuidenhout, sales representative, Monkee Genes
"Label is a great show. We have seen a high standard of buyers over the three days. The concept is spot on, we are very happy to support the show as we strongly believe the UK market needs a show like Label."
Simon Lomond, Vacant

Testimonials
Here's what Label exhibitors had to say before the show:
Paul Frank is excited to exhibit at Label in February. We’re launching our footwear range, and also want to be able to show our menswear and womenswear clothing collections on the one stand. Label is the obvious choice for a UK trade show as the proposition seems spot on and being co-located with Pure London is also a big advantage as we know they already attract the types of buyers we’re interested in seeing.

VICE is a trend-defining youth media company with a following of millions across 22 countries. Vice are very keen to be associated with Label as media partner as we feel Label is an acknowledgement that fashion is getting younger, harder, more energetic, more provocative. Vice is that already.
Kristen Lazaric, Head of Fashion Sales, Vice

The timing of the is show is perfect for Bench as we not only recognise the need for a successful UK based trade show for branded fashion, but more importantly Label has focussed primarily on independent retailers which is also a key driver for our business.
We are extremely pleased and excited to be a launch partner for the show and look forward to helping to make this a fantastic event and one that becomes established for years to come.
Rob Griffiths, Head of Product and Marketing

The idea of having a young fashion exhibition which brings together the best of the sector’s international brands under one roof is an attractive one - it’s about time we had a show here in the UK which is just as essential to us buyers.

Pure has been an amazing launch pad for my brand. Yumi has been in the Spirit hall for 4 seasons and in this time we have grown our customer base by a considerable amount. I’m really excited to hear about the launch of Label next door – this is an exciting time for the young fashion industry and the short order menswear brands are crying out for an event to show at. I’m certain that Label can do for these brands what Spirit did for my brand.
Vernon Etridge, Yumi

From our point of view business at the moment is all about the smaller brands that Pure’s Spirit section specialises in. In the current climate, brands like these which take the risk, sell short order, and replenish merchandise with new trends really regularly, are so much more relevant than the big brands. Pure has successfully done this with Spirit and I look forward to seeing this delivered for young menswear & unisex brands through Label.
Nick Preston, brand manager, Republic

With no visible let-up in terms of this recession''s challenging trading conditions, buyers need all the help they can get to make measured and competitive buying decisions. Pure and Spirit have already established themselves as absolutely imperative pit-stops in every womenswear buyers'' seasonal diary. Now, with the addition of brand-led young-fashion show Label, the exhibition is delivering what the market has been demanding for years - a domestic, pan-industry fashion exhibition which is finely tuned to the requirements of professional UK buyers.
I''ve been working with the launch team of Label as I''m confident not only that the concept of Label matches the needs of today''s buyers, but also that Emap will deliver a dramatic exhibition with plenty of innovative and commercially-led buying options.
Khabi Mirza, Editor, Fashion Buyer UK

We have chosen to show Vacant and Pretty Vacant at Label as there has been a void in the unisex branded fashion platform in the UK since the demise of 40 degrees. I feel that a dedicated show which has vibrancy and direction is essential in today''s market and Vacant are happy to support Label in establishing this.
