Brand Focus - Vivien Sheriff

Millinery brand Vivien Sheriff is launching a new accessories range at Pure London in February.

Called 'Off Your Head' the collection promises to have the same distinctive Vivien Sheriff flair as the designer's flamboyant hats. It will include limited edition one-off headpieces as well as epaulettes and feathered cuffs.

Based in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside, Vivien Sheriff Millinery reflects the very best of British creativity and design.
 
Its products are all made in-house, using only the finest fabrics to create cutting-edge designs with a sharp attention to detail.

Set up in 2005, the brand now has more than 300 stockists in the UK and Europe. As well as the main line there is also a bridal range, with both producing two collections a year.

For Spring/Summer 10 Vivien Sheriff has produced a collection that features dramatic headpieces and mannish trilbies with details such as parrot feathers. The designer has also collaborated with occasionwear label John Charles on a range of headpieces, from fashion forward architectural shapes to classic mother of the bride hats.
Sheriff describes the typical Vivien Sheriff customer as "a lady who really does want to stand out in the crowd. Our hats are for hat lovers, not for shrinking violets!"

The brand sets itself apart from its competitors by working closely with individual retailers to accommodate colour requests. It has recently expanded its Wiltshire base to include a studio where buyers can view the collection.
