bluemill is a UK based manufacturer, importer and dyer of all-things fashion and textiles.

From our state of the art dyehouse and handling facilities in the Midlands, UK, we internationally source, manufacture, dye and finish all-things textiles from 1 to 10,000 pieces per week. For over 20 years our unique infrastructure and garment dyeing services have been commissioned by a wide variety of clientele from retailers to commercial buyers, designers, manufacturers and individuals.

bluemill is owned and run by father and son Kirit and Ron Shah, who have 40+ years in textiles manufacturing.

DYE LAB

Our on-site lab is your partner for colour in design, offering the latest tools for colour-savvy designers.

We can formulate any colour you need from scratch or to match any shade or colour system including Pantones.

Our dyehouse manager is probably one of the most experienced garment dyers in Europe. He is also a Chartered Colourist and a member of the Society of Dyers and Colourists.

DYEHOUSE TREATMENTS

DYE TO ANY COLOUR:

Reactive, Pigment, Direct, Sulfur, VAT, Acid, Synthetic.

Strictly highest standards of colour matching or your own shades with industry-leading levelness, colourfastness and reproducibility. Lab dips can be submitted on all jobs.

ANY EFFECT:

AGING: stone wash, enzyme wash, heavy wash, caustic wash, grinding, hand sanding, fabric distressing

SOFTENING: enzyme wash, silicon wash, silk wash, scour, hot wash

SPECIALIST DYEING: tie-dye, wax coating, heat sensitive dyes, naturally occuring Earth pigments and dyes, oil wash, fragrance technologies

WASHES: snow wash, soda wash, white wash, acid wash, mineral wash, starch wash, bleaching

LOOKS: burnout, smoke, distressed, vintage, crystal, animal print, optic brightening

Garment dyeing can help retailers and brands reduce their committed stock. By holding stock in undyed form you can make decisions about shades later in the production cycle. It also reduces the risk of surplus stock whilst producing garments which have a more luxurious and customized feel than garments made from dyed fabric. We are very happy to help advise if garment dyeing is new territory for you.
