Known for working with Alexander McQueen, Givenchy and Paule Ka, Venera Arapu created her eponymous brand in the late 1990s.


ESMOD graduate, Venera Arapu received great acclaim in the Parisian fashion weeks and the trade shows.


Having created a Parisian heritage for her brand, the designer returned to her country to bring her contribution to Romania’s emerging fashion scene.


Creating apparel that is both conceptual and commercial, Venera Arapu’s success was imminent. Her garments have filled the rails at Galeries Lafayette in Paris, multi brands across the globe and its own corner at NYC’s Barney’s. Venera Arapu’s accessories line have graced the pages of Officiel magazine and her gowns have dressed VIFs (very important fashionistas). 


Re-launching  the brand in 2008 and opening the flagship store in Bucharest in late 2011, the brand Venera Arapu is found among the local prestigious multi brand boutiques.


At a global level, Venera Arapu enjoys a well-rounded clientele, from The Middle East (Sauce Dubai, Al Fatina Kuweit, Style House Qatar, Bin Dawood Saudi Arabia, Valleydez United Arab Emirates, Depeche Mode Lebanon, Debi-R Lebanon) to Asia (Stunning Lure Japan, Joy Group Hong Kong, Zeus Koreea) and The French Riviera (Grand Bazar, People Boutique, Rose Calin), and not least, across the Ocean, to United States (Flying Colors Baby, Little Women Too, Posh).


Venera Arapu is developing as a well-rounded global brand, developing beyond RTW childrenswear, accessories and a couture line.


The concept driving the collections to come is one of visual impact. It incorporates digital technology and it is a representation of post-modernity. A statement to wear for the strong, self assured and outspoken woman of our times. Venera Arapu’s produced garments are a reflection of our Zeitgeist.
