London, February 2018; Two years ago, Natalie Ryan from Wrexham, founder of new activewear brand, NATTILY thought, “Wouldn't it be great to have a well-made gilet which could be worn all year round, city or country, indoor gym or outdoor field, which was colourful, cosy AND had sustainability in mind?!” With nothing available to buy she challenged herself to design her own.

Alongside her full-time job in London she saved her money each month to research and develop an exclusive range of fleece gilets made from Polartec® fleece; on average 20 plastic bottles are recycled to make each gilet. Natalie said, “I wanted to create a fun-loving lifestyle brand for adventurous people who were conscious about the environment and wanted to dress differently. I only wanted to partner with top suppliers such as Polartec® as they’re the leading manufacturer for performance fabrics and the technology they use is second to none.” 


Designed by Natalie and made in Portugal, the first range of NATTILY gilets arrived in the UK in September 2018. With Christmas on the horizon and over 200 gilets to sell, Natalie made the brave decision to leave her full-time job and fully focus on developing her brand. It paid off. She travelled the length and breadth of the UK, sharing her story, her passion and vision with customers of all ages. It was infectious, they loved the bright colours, the detachable pom pom for the zip puller, the softness of the fleece which has been woven out of recycled plastic and Natalie soon realised she needed to make another order!


With the difference in the detail, each gilet has been designed to be timeless, with comfort in mind but without compromising on style, so they have lots of thoughtful features. Ideal for all activities, whether it’s walking the dog, horse riding, skiing, playing golf, going to the gym or just having a few drinks at the pub, customers can benefit from a variety of cleverly designed features such as; higher neck and lower back to keep cosy, colourful hook to hang each gilet, an adjustable waist to suit any style, chin guard for protection against the zip, securely zipped pockets and even a hole inside the pocket to thread through headphones!


Ever heard of the phrase nattily dressed? The quintessential term means you’re looking smart, well-tailored and dressed to make a difference. A play on her own name, Natalie felt NATTILY summed up her brand entirely.


Looking ahead, Natalie is already developing the range for NATTILY to not only include gilets but accessories too – all made from fabric made out of recycled plastic bottles! Here at PURE, she hopes to launch her range into retail, looking for long-term partners who share her vision and passion for the brand.
