Pure London SS20 – Editor’s highlights: day one

A summer of fashion landed in London on 21st July 2019! SS20 at Pure London saw the return of the iconic Main, Future and Origin stage catwalks joined by a myriad of exciting names sharing their market insights and industry expertise.

We heard from our first of two keynotes, Patrick Grant. The entrepreneur, designer and face of BBC2’s Great British Sewing Bee shared his career journey and the importance of bringing back dying skills in the fashion industry.

The United Nations also returned to the Main Stage to explore the Power of One campaign and the progress so far. After the iconic Main Stage catwalks, Pure London’s trend partners, Unique Style Platform shared the inspiration and thought behind the SS20 trends informing the looks this season – if you missed it today, make sure you catch a session on Monday or Tuesday straight after the Main Stage catwalk presentation.

Elsewhere, on the Future Stage, we took a closer look at just how to build a fashion brand, discussed ageism in fashion and learned a thing or two from the fashion names making a splash on social media.

Taking a trip ahead in time, the Pure Origin catwalk made its anticipated return, featuring the key textile trends for AW20/21 and we enjoyed some expert talks on bringing your supply chain closer to home, eco-friendly design and sharing your brand story with the audiences who matter.
