DANIÉ Made in Sicily
The Danié Made in Sicily brand was born in from an idea of Daniela Napolitano, a Sicilian entrepreneur with a strong passion (and long training) in goldsmithing and in the women's accessories sector.
The idea behind the project is to tell Sicily through high quality bags and bijou: each creation is in fact handmade with symbolic materials of the island, such as curina, the most tender part of the dwarf palm, the ceramics of Caltagirone, lace, trimmings, raffia, tassels and castanets. The icon of the brand is the Sicilian coffa, an object of the island tradition used by farmers of the past as a container for the transport of animal fodder, which is reinvented and transformed into an exclusive and refined luxury bag.
Each collection, as well as each creation, tells an aspect of Sicily, tells the colors of this land so simple yet so complex, its nature, the thousand shades of its soul. Bags that become a link between past and future, which intertwine the history of those who make them with that of those who wear them.
An anecdote of ancient tradition, a detail of the Sicilian countryside, even a nuance of a sunset over the sea can become a source of inspiration for a new collection. Like the Spring / Summer 2022 proposal which, alongside the Sicily and Paillettes line, sees the entrance of another symbol of the island's history, the panaro. Used in the past for the transport of bread, eggs, fruit and vegetables, thanks to a meticulous work of creativity, craftsmanship and recovery of waste materials, today it is transformed into a rural chic bag lined with recycled fabrics. In short, an original fashion that looks to collective memory, but with a focus on innovation and environmental sustainability.
The proposal is completed by the continuous lines of the coffees, such as the Fanciulla, the Fico and the Coffette, and the fashion accessories, earrings, hats, necklaces, which become whimsical and original details for style and personality outfits.
