Lucy Siegle is a broadcaster and writer specialising in environmental issues. She contributes to many programmes and titles including The One Show, BBC1, Costing the Earth, Radio 4 and the Victoria Derbyshire show and Newsnight. Her latest book, Turning the Tide on Plastic is full of strategies for individuals to contribute to halting the plastic pandemic. Lucy is recognised as an authority on sustainable fashion. Her 2011 book To Die For is credited with waking up fashion to climate, environmental and social obligations. She is a producer of The True Cost (Netflix) and consulted on and appeared in the Stacey Dooley documentary, Fashion’s Dirty Secrets. She is passionate about communicating climate change and recently accompanied singer and climate campaigner, Ellie Goulding to the Arctic Basecamp at Davos. On stage she recently hosted the Talanoa climate talks at the Royal Institution and has recently interviewed Stella McCartney, Mary Robinson the former president of Ireland and the Secretary of State for the Environment. In March she will chair a debate with Caroline Lucas and Christiana Figueres for the Guardian.
