Breaking Barriers Between Contemporary and Traditional Fashion – How the brand KAMMA Swim is putting a spotlight on Indonesian local artisans and their age-old heritage.

“I’m excited to show KAMMA SWIM at Pure London. The cultural heritage of local artisans rarely gets a spotlight in the international fashion market, and can be seen as unrelatable to modern society.” Director Johana Siahaan says.
About the design of KAMMA, Designer Febrina Siahaan explains, “Our goal is to preserve culture by creating pieces that tell age-old stories but are still appreciated by the younger generation.”
KAMMA recently opened their flagship store in Canggu (Bali) where they welcome young customers from around the world.
“This year we're able to fully run our production in our manufacturing facility in Bali. It enables us to minimise fabric waste.”
